TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Restricted Items:

The following items are not acceptable for shipments. Various regulatory clearances may be required for certain commodities, thereby extending the transit time. If you ship an item that is restricted or requires a special permit or license which enables clearance, the shipment will have to be held for 5 days and then returned back to Origin and you will be responsible for the return shipping charges.

a. List of restricted items:

  • APO/FPO addresses.
  • C.O.D. shipments.
  • Goods packed insufficiently and/or not standard forms of packaging.
  • Goods which require in any way particularly careful treatment (because they are e.g. particularly fragile or can only be transported upright or only lying on a certain side)
  • Human corpses, human organs or body parts, human and animal embryos, or cremated or disinterred human remains.
  • Explosives
  • Firearms, weaponry and their parts.
  • Perishable foodstuffs and foods and beverages requiring refrigeration or other environmental control.
  • Live animals (including insects).
  • Plants and plant material, including cut flowers.
  • Lottery tickets and gambling devices where prohibited by local, state, provincial or national law.
  • Money (coins, cash, currency, paper money and negotiable instruments equivalent to cash such as endorsed stocks, bonds and cash letters).
  • Collectable coins and stamps.
  • Phone cards and pre-paid cards, e.g. for mobile phones.
  • Particularly valuable goods (e.g. money, precious metals and stones, jewelry and genuine pearls, objects of art, antiques).
  • Valuable documents (e.g. securities, acceptance bills, savings books).
  • Pornography.
  • Hazardous waste, including, but not limited to, used hypodermic needles or syringes or other medical waste.
  • Shipments that may cause damage to, or delay of, equipment, personnel or other shipments.
  • Shipments that require us to obtain any special license or permit for transportation, importation or exportation.
  • Shipments whose carriage, importation or exportation is prohibited by any law, statute or regulation.
  • Shipments with a declared value for customs in excess of that permitted for a specific destination. (See the Declared Value for Carriage and Limits of Liability section.)
  • Dangerous goods except as permitted under the Dangerous Goods section of these terms and conditions.
  • Dead animals (including insects) or animals that have been mounted.
  • Packages that are wet, leaking or emit an odor of any kind.

2. Refund Policy:

Freight Officials understands that circumstances may arise requiring refunds. Refund requests will be considered under the following conditions:

a. Cancellation Before Pickup:

  • In case of cancellation of an order before the pickup date, a $200 (USD) cancellation fee would be charged and remaining amount deposited at the time of signing up the contract will be refunded in the stipulated timeframe as per the contact with the client.
  • Cancellation must be communicated in writing to Freight Officials’ official email address support@freightofficials.com.

b. Service Disruption:

  • In the event of service disruption or failure to deliver as agreed upon, Freight Officials will review the situation.
  • Refunds will be processed based on the extent of the disruption, and a decision will be communicated to the shipper.

c. Overpayment:

  • If the shipper makes an overpayment, Freight Officials will initiate a refund for the excess amount.
  • Refunds will be processed using the original method of payment and may take a reasonable amount of time.

3. Delivery Policy:

Freight Officials is committed to timely and efficient delivery of goods. The delivery policy is outlined as follows:

a. Shipment Timelines:

  • Freight officials will coordinate and execute the transportation of goods within the agreed-upon timelines specified in the transportation agreement.

b. Shipment Locations:

  • Goods will be shipped from the pickup address to the designated drop-off address provided in the transportation agreement.

c. Communication of Delays:

  • In the event of unforeseen circumstances causing delays, Freight Officials will promptly communicate the situation to the shipper.

4. Return Policy:

Freight Officials acknowledges that there may be instances where a return is necessary. The return policy is detailed below:

a. Damaged Goods:

  • If goods are delivered in a damaged condition, the shipper must notify Freight Officials within a specified timeframe.
  • Freight Officials will investigate and coordinate the return or replacement of damaged goods.

b. Incorrect Delivery:

  • In the case of an incorrect delivery, the shipper must notify Freight Officials immediately.
  • Freight Officials will arrange for the return of the incorrectly delivered goods and the delivery of the correct items.

c. Claims for loss damage or delay:

  • In case of loss, damage or delay to your shipment, it’s important to understand the liability and reporting process. As a transportation broker, is not responsible for any cargo loss or damage claims.
  • If you decide to pursue a claim, you must notify within forty-eight (48) hours following the delivery. This will allow to provide you with the necessary.
  • Please be aware that neither Freight Officials nor the carrier can be held liable for cargo loss or damage resulting from events beyond their control. This includes damage caused by factors such as adverse weather conditions (including hail and storms), civil unrest, strikes, acts of terrorism, wear and tear, or damage to parts of the shipment, as well as personal items within the shipment.

5. Cancellation Policy:

Customers may cancel reservations under the following conditions:

a. Cancellation Before Pickup:

  • Subscriptions or reservations can be canceled without any charges if the cancellation request is received before depositing the initial amount.
  • Cancellation must be communicated in writing to Freight Officials’ official email address support@freightofficials.com.

b. Cancellation Fees:

  • Cancellation fees, if any, will be applied as per the terms agreed upon in the transportation agreement.
  • If the shipment was already picked up, the customer has no right to cancel the shipment. In this case, Freight Officials can keep the full amount paid by the customer.
  • Refunds for Unfulfilled Services: if a customer has paid for Additional Services that were not provided for any reason, and the Shipment has been successfully delivered, the Customer can receive a refund for the unfulfilled portion of the Additional Services fees.
  • Cancellation Procedures: Customer-initiated cancellations must be communicated formally via email to support@freightofficials.com Freight Officials will not accept cancellations made through telephone calls, text messages, chats, or any other communication medium.

  • Payments are accepted via Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, AMEX/American Express credit cards.
